National Professor Jamilur Reza Chowdhury stated after visiting Gph Ispat’s new plant at Kumira
“This technologically advent-grade new plant will set an examplewhich is first in Asia.” Vice-Chancellor of University of Asia Pacific and National Professor Jamilur Reza Chowdhury stated this after visiting Gph Ispat’s new plant at Shitakundo, Kumira, Chattagram on 24th November 2019. Teachers from BUET Dr. Khan Mahmud Amanat, Dr. A F M Saiful Amin, Dr. Rakib Ahsan, Vice Chairman of United Group Abul Kalam Azad were accompanied him during this visit.
Chairman of GPH Group Mohammad Jahangir Alam, GPH Ispat chairman Mohammad Alamgir Kabir and Additional Managing Director Mohammad Almas Shimul greet themafter their arrival in the plant area.
Addressing him(JRC) as a Legend GPH Group Chairman Mohammad Jahangir Alam said on a view exchanging session, “such visiting of a legendary professor is praiseworthy” and acknowledged that his suggestion and experiencewill be a pathway in future days.
GPH has the capacity to manufacture clean and pure steel according to the demand of the consumers. This view came from GPH Ispat Chairman Mohammad Alamgir Kabir.
At the discussion Additional Managing Director Mohammad Almas Shimul said, “we took help from the expertise of BUET in the past and it will remain same in the future as well.GPH is going to collaborate with the related departments of BUET and docontinuous research and product development for the betterment of the country.”
Head of project Dr. Engineer Sayeed Sumon gave over all presentation about the plant and gave answer of different queries from the teachers’ side. Adviser Egineer Mohammad Mosharaff Hosen, Adviser Mushfique Saleehin Sadab and Executive Director (Plant)Engineer Madani M. Imtiaz Hossain were also present there.
