A 1,000-year-old temple has fallen as wildfires spread across Uiseong, South Korea. Despite the immediate efforts of local authorities, it was too late as the house of worship was engulfed in the smoky mess.
Dozens of helicopters and thousands of firefighters and soldiers have been deployed by the government as they struggle to control multiple wildfires in the southeast, which have been burning for days.
1000 year old Temple consumed by wildfire
Thousand-year-old Unramsa Temple on Cheondeungsan Mountain South Korea, was completely destroyed by a forest fire yesterday. It quickly spread due to strong winds, burning down both the main building and its outbuildings.
